FCCLA Scholarships
National FCCLA offers several scholarships to student members who plan to further their education after high school.
These scholarships include:
The Beth Middleton Memorial Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a current or former national or state officer who is a high school senior. The award recognizes outstanding leadership, scholarship, and community service. One application per state may be submitted. The $400 scholarship is payable in two installments and must be applied to college tuition, room, and/or board.
Frank W. H. Fort Civic Engagement/Leadership Scholarship – National FCCLA will award one individual (middle, junior or senior high) member – $500 to support attendance at the National Leadership Conference (NLC). If the student submitting the proposal or a participant in the project is unable to attend NLC, the award will still be presented but the monetary stipend will not. The FCCLA national scholarship will be given annually at NLC. The financial amount will be presented prior to NLC to support recipient’s attendance.
Nasco Teachand Train Scholarship – Nasco will provide one (1) $1,000 scholarship annually to a gold medal winning FCCLA national Teach and Train STAR Events participant who demonstrates exemplary leadership ability and educational skills. The recipient will be selected by an FCCLA awards committee, including a Nasco representative, based on the application information provided. Additionally, the chapter adviser of the winning student will receive a $500 Nasco gift card to be used for Family and Consumer Sciences classroom supplies.
Jossey-Bass Leadership Scholarship – Jossey-Bass will provide one (1) $1,000 scholarship annually to a gold medal winning FCCLA national Leadership STAR Events participant who demonstrates exemplary leadership ability and educational skills. The recipient will be selected by an FCCLA awards committee, including a Jossey-Bass representative, based on the application information provided.
National Technical Honor Society Scholarship- This scholarship is awarded annually to two (2) qualified FCCLA members, who are also current members of the National Technical Honor Society. Recipients will be selected based on their contribution and leadership within Family, Career and Community Leaders, as well as the National Technical Honor Society. The $1,000 scholarship is applied directly to the college or university for tuition, room, or board. See application for eligibility and rules.
Prestige Scholarship – Prestige AV & Creative Services will provide one (1) $1,000 scholarship annually to a qualified FCCLA member who exemplifies integrity, hard work, honesty, and generosity in their family, school, and community. See application for eligibility and rules.
Raye Virginia Allen State President’s Scholarship – Advertising, Premiums and Incentives (API) will provide one (1) $2,000 scholarship annually to a current or former state president who is a high school senior to pursue any field of study. The award recognizes academic excellence, outstanding leadership, and significant volunteer experience. The recipient will be selected by an FCCLA awards committee based on the application information provided. This scholarship is a one-time cash award payable directly to the college or university. Wiley Publishing, Inc. Scholarship -FCCLA is proud to continue their partnership with Wiley Publishing, Incorporated where Wiley Publishing, Inc. will provide one $1,000 scholarship annually to a qualified FCCLA senior recognizing exemplary leadership in FCCLA and in their family, school, and community. The recipient will be selected by an FCCLA awards committee based on the application information provided. This scholarship is a one-time cash award payable directly to the college or university. All National Scholarships Applications are due April 1, 2012.Please take advantage of these extraordinary opportunities FCCLA has offered to us! All of the scholarship applications can be found on the national FCCLA website. Missouri FCCLA will also award $6,000 worth of scholarships at the 2012 State Leadership Conference.
